Pursuant to the provisions of the Sewerage Authorities Law (P.L. 1946, c. 138, N.J.S.A. 40:14a-1 et seq.) of the State of New Jersey, there is hereby created a public body corporate and politic, under the name and style of the "Riverside Sewerage Authority."

The Riverside Sewerage Authority hereby created is a sewerage authority as contemplated and provided for by said Sewerage Authorities Law, N.J.S.A. 40:14A-1 et seq., and shall have and exercise all of the powers and perform all of the duties provided for by said Sewerage Authorities Law and any other statutes heretofore or hereafter enacted and applicable thereto.

Members of the Riverside Sewerage Authority may receive from the Riverside Sewerage Authority compensation for their services as members, within the limitation hereby stated that no member shall receive in excess of $1,100 per annum. The Chairs of the Riverside Sewerage Authority may receive from the Riverside Sewerage Authority compensation for his/her services as Chair within the limitation hereby stated that said Chair shall not receive in excess of $1,900 per annum.
