Pursuant to the County Code, Row Officers may be eligible to vote at meetings of the Salary Board, Retirement Board, Depository Board, Prison Board and Board of Managers of the Youth Development Center. To the extent a Row Officer is eligible to vote at said Board meetings and to the extent a Row Officer cannot attend said Board meeting due to a "necessary or temporary absence" as defined by 16 P.S. § 408(a), said Row Officer may authorize his or her Chief Deputy to vote in his or her place.
In order for an authorized Chief Deputy to vote, said Row Officer must notify the Administrator/Chief Clerk and the President Commissioner at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting of said authorization and any limitations upon authorization. Notification shall be in the form of electronic mail.
