No impure ice, or ice cut, within or outside
of the Town of West New York, from a polluted pond, lake or stream
and no ice manufactured from impure water shall be used or sold within
said Town. No such ice shall be brought into the Town for the purpose
of use or sale.

No person or persons, partnership or corporation
shall transport, sell or distribute ice in the Town of West New York
without first having obtained a permit from the Board of Commissioners
of the Town of West New York for each place of business, cart, wagon
or vehicle used in such transportation, sale and distribution of ice.
No person, firm or corporation shall sell in
the Town of West New York any ice without first obtaining a permit
from this Board setting forth the locality from which the ice is procured.
No permit shall be granted to any person obtaining ice that has been
frozen from any water that is impure, unwholesome, infected or contaminated
during the process of freezing.

Before such permit is granted, the applicant
shall pay to said Board of Commissioners a fee of $2 for each and
every cart, wagon or vehicle used in the transportation, sale or distribution
of ice. Every such permit, unless sooner forfeited or revoked, shall
expire on the 30th day of June next succeeding the date when it was
granted.

No wagon, cart or vehicle of any kind shall
be used or run at any time by anyone for the sale or delivery of any
ice in this Town unless there shall be displayed on each side thereof
a tag or plate furnished by the Board of Commissioners, showing that
said vehicle is owned, controlled or used by a party to whom a permit
has been granted in accordance with the provisions of this article.
For each tag or plate so furnished, said Board may collect a fee of
$0.50 to cover the cost thereof.
No person except a party to whom a permit has
been issued shall use any such tag or plate on any vehicle whatsoever,
and no person shall make or use an imitation or copy of such tag or
plate. No such tag or plate shall be used after the forfeiture, revocation
or expiration of the permit, the existence of which the tag or plate
is indicated and intended to show.
