As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
INDUSTRIAL WATER METER
Any meter of a size equal to or greater than 1 1/2 inches.

The Division of Utilities: Water and Sewer is authorized to require the owners of all industrial water meters in the City of Camden to have their meters tested by a qualified meter testing company not more than once a year and not less than once every three years.
A. 
The owners of these meters shall supply the test results, together with an affidavit from the testing company, within 30 days from the date that notification is given by the Division to conduct a meter test. In the event that the owner fails to comply with this requirement, the Division has the right to have the meter tested and to levy a charge for the cost of such test, plus a surcharge of 50% for administrative expenses.
B. 
This remedy is in addition to the other rights and remedies presently utilized and authorized to the Division.

If the test results show that the meter is not within established tolerance limits set by the American Water Works Association for the particular size meter, the owner shall have an additional 10 days to have said meter recalibrated, repaired or replaced and shall furnish proof of said corrective action to the Division, together with an affidavit from a qualified meter repair and testing company, or, in the instance of a replacement, the affidavit shall be from the manufacturer of said meter. In the event that the owner fails to comply with this requirement, the Division shall reserve the right to recalibrate, repair or replace the water meter, whichever is necessary, and to levy a charge for the cost, plus a surcharge of 50% for administrative expenses. Additionally, if a meter is replaced by the owner, the new meter shall be of a type and size as approved by the Division.
