Editor's Note: This ordinance supersedes former Ch. 224,
Firearms, adopted 2-2-1891 as Ch. 206.
Hunting of any type within the limits of the City of Perth Amboy
is, and shall be hereafter, banned and prohibited.
The discharge of any firearm, crossbow, slingshot, air gun,
spring gun, gas gun or weapon of any other kind, nature and description
shall be and hereby is prohibited except upon a licensed pistol, rifle
or firearm range, and under the supervision of the Police Department
of the City of Perth Amboy.
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the members
of the City of Perth Amboy Police Department or to any other duly
appointed governmental law enforcing officer, while acting in the
line of duty.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not
in excess of five hundred dollars ($500) or ninety (90) days in jail,
or both, in the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge.
