(7) The fee for an application for a variation in accordance with N.J.A.C.
5:23-2.10 shall be:

(8) The fee for reinstatement of lapsed permits shall be 50% of the total
sum of the construction permit issued, provided that the minimum fee
shall be $50.
(9) In order to provide for the training, certification and technical
support programs required by the Uniform Construction Code Act and
the regulations, the enforcing agency shall collect, in addition to
the fees specified above, a surcharge fee. This fee shall be in the
amount of $0.00371 per cubic foot of new buildings and additions.
Volume shall be computed in accordance with N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.28. The
fee for all other construction shall be $1.90 per $1,000 of value
of construction. Said surcharge fee shall be remitted to the Bureau
of Housing Inspection, Department of Community Affairs, on a quarterly
basis for the fiscal quarters ending September 30, December 31, March
31 and June 30, and not later than one month next succeeding the end
of the quarter for which it is due. In the fiscal year in which the
regulations first become effective, said fee shall be collected and
remitted for the third and fourth quarters only.

For the purpose of determining costs, the Construction Official
may require copies of bona fide contracts.
(11)
Exemption of fee. There shall be no fee for a permit to allow
the construction of an outdoor handicapped accessibility ramp.

A. Enforcement of uniform fire code. In addition to the registration, inspections and fees required pursuant to the Act and the regulations of the Department of Community Affairs, the following additional registrations, inspections and fees shall be required. (§

offices, dentists' offices, law offices, accounting offices, real
estate offices and labor union offices, will be charged a fee of $50
per year for registration and fire inspection.

listed as life-hazard uses in the code, will be charged a fee of $50
per year for registration and fire inspections. All cooking establishments
not listed as life-hazard uses that are required to have a suppression
system must be issued a Type I Permit at an additional cost at $54
per year.

(3) All buildings containing three or more units, whether residential,
commercial or a combination thereof, except life-hazard uses as established
in the code, will be charged a fee of $60 for the first three units
and $10 for each additional unit per year for registration and fire
inspection.

(4) All warehouses, except those defined as life-hazard uses, will be
charged a fee of $50 per year for registration and fire inspection.
(5) The fee for issuance of a status of fire code violation penalties
report shall be $25 per report. The request shall be made at least
two weeks prior to closing. Should the status of the fire code violation
and penalties report not be obtained prior to the sale of the property,
a fine of $50 will be imposed in addition to the cost of report.

D. Discontinuation of service. When service is discontinued for any reason, a charge of $100 shall be made for turning off the water. (§

(1) The City will impose a charge of $25 for a printout showing the number

(2) If any test requires the City of Ventnor to send personnel to the

in its sole discretion, may refund or credit the amount of the fee
for such a test.
F. Service to fire protection facilities. Any property having private fire protection facilities shall pay for each connection to be used exclusively for the extinguishment of fires a fee of $100 per year. (§
