Any resident of the City of Camden or organization or group whose principal office is in the City of Camden or whose direct purpose is to benefit any City resident, resident organization or resident group may lease any athletic field, park or recreational area for a period other than one day or for a special event for a rental fee of $60 per season. The charge for rental of said areas for one day or for a special event by a City resident or any organization or group whose principal office is in the City of Camden or whose purpose is to directly benefit any City resident, organization or group shall be $62. City-based applicants must remit a nonrefundable fee of $123 per application. These fees shall be waived for all City of Camden-based youth programs, including little league, midget football, church youth groups and any other community or neighborhood activities oriented toward or directly benefiting the youth of the City of Camden.

Any nonresident or any nonresidential group or organization shall be charged a fee of $123 for a one-day or special event permit, and said organization shall be charged a fee of $369 for any event or events which are not classified as a one-day or special event activity.

Applicants agree that if the City, upon inspection of the leased premises, determines that the cost of any damages and/or cleanup costs exceeds the amount paid, the City may bill or sue the applicant or take any measures necessary to collect any sums for such cleanup and/or damages.

A trust fund will be established in the Comptroller's office where all fees and other moneys shall be deposited. Expenditures from the established trust fund will be made only for park, recreational and ballfield maintenance and rehabilitation as necessary and as determined by the Commissioner of Health and Human Services.
