The Office of the Fire Marshal in the Bureau of Fire Prevention
for the Department of Fire in the City of Camden is designated and
established as the local enforcement agency, pursuant to the New Jersey
Uniform Fire Code.
The Office of the Fire Marshal shall conduct life hazard use
inspections in compliance with provisions of the New Jersey Uniform
Fire Code.
At the direction of the Chief Fire Marshal, a force of Fire
Inspectors in the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be assigned to perform
life hazard use inspections and other firesafety inspection as prescribed
by the Uniform Fire Code. Principal services of the Bureau are as
